When the University of South Florida Bulls stampede into Raymond James Stadium to take on the Florida State University Seminoles on Saturday it will be a home game atmosphere unlike anything they've ever seen before, with fan turnout expected to nearly triple what the team has averaged this season.

Ticket sales have exceeded sales for the Buccaneers-Rams game on Sunday, and attendance is expected to surpass the largest USF home crowd of 67,012 dating back to the September 28, 2007 game vs. West Virginia University.

Coach Willie Taggart and the Bulls are embracing the playoff-like atmosphere and the attention.

“I know our guys will be excited to walk into Ray-Jay and see that place packed," Taggart said.  "The key for us is to stay locked in and to make sure we go out and play well.  It’s pretty cool.  This atmosphere is what we all wanted and we know what can happen here in the Bay.  We’ve been saying from day one that we’re going to build it and get it to this point.”

Taggart has kept the team focused with the philosophy that the game against FSU is a big game because it's the next game.

But, running back D'Ernest Johnson acknowledged that this kind of game is what the Bulls have put themselves in position for.

“This is what you dream of coming to college for, playing in front of a lot of people.  It’s a great feeling and we hope Ray-Jay rushes the field after we, hopefully, get the victory.  We have to keep our streak going.  We can’t let anyone come in and ruin our streak.”
