Geologists said they've discovered a soft spot in an area that's very close to where two other sinkholes have formed in Holiday.

They said this could be a sign of a third sinkhole.

Residents who live near the sinkholes in the Holiday Travel Park said it has them worried.

"We have a neighbor back in Ohio who's a geologist that I've been communicating with and he told me to get the heck out of here," said Vicki Leuthold.

When the first sinkhole opened on Monday, Vicki and Ken Leuthold said they thought it might be a fluke but then they said the situation got worse.

"A second hole opened up in probably less than an hour on Tuesday so what happens if it happens right here in front of our house. I've got to be able to move," said Ken Leuthold.

The couple said they are now prepared to evacuate if they have to.

"We've packed our bags, our medications, important papers, overnight bags. I can be out of here in 5 minutes if we have to," said Ken Leuthold.

Several houses nearby have already been evacuated.

The Leutholds said it's hard to think about the possibility a sinkhole could affect their home.

"My father put this trailer in here brand new 30 years ago and he passed away about 5 years ago and we inherited it so it's more sentimental than anything if something happens than it is monetary," said Vicki Leuthold.

The Leutholds plan to keep an eye on the situation for now hoping their house will be spared.

"It would be a shame to see it all gone in a heartbeat," said Vicki Leuthold.

The first hole opened beneath the driveway at 1728 Torch Drive and threatens the trailer there and other properties.

In light of recent events, Pasco County Utilities will temporarily suspend work in the immediate area of
Bartelt Road.
