President Obama will visit USF in Tampa on Wednesday, October 5 to deliver remarks on health care in the U.S., the White House announced on Sunday.

According to a media release, the president plans to discuss the progress made by the Affordable Care Act in ensuring that all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care.

The White House also highlighted Hillsborough County and USF in the annoucement. The release pointed out the county's "strong health care system" and the university's diverse training programs for health professions and leadership role in getting people signed up for health insurance.

Air Force One's arrival and departure Wednesday will be closed to the public. All tickets for President Obama's appearance at USF have already been distributed.
