"What's not to like about them? They're all just big engines strapped on to a boat and taking off," fan Randy Strawder said.

Randy and Jennifer Strawder said they’ve been coming to SuperBoat for several years and said it’s a 'can’t miss' event for adrenaline junkies who have a need for speed.

"I've lived on these waters my whole life and it's one thing to be able to go out there fishing but you never get to see this kind of boat out here so it's a neat experience," said Randy.

During Saturday’s events, fans had the opportunity to meet some of the team members behind the powerful boats, which can reach 100 mph. Over 180,000 people are expected to attend Sunday’s championship race.

"The excitement of the boats and so many people coming to our area to watch it and the beach and just the excitement, the boats are amazing," said Jennifer.

Sunday’s festivities kick off at 8 a.m. and the first race starts at noon.
