Jurassic Quest, a traveling dinosaur exhibit, made its first stop in Tampa this weekend.

  • More than 50 life-size animatronic dinosaurs
  • Fossil digs, "Dino Bounce" and face painting
  • Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa

Thousands of Dinosaur enthusiasts from all across the Bay area flooded the fairgrounds to check out 50 different life-size animals.  

"Not only do they get the thrill of walking into the exhibit, hearing the dinosaurs roar, playing with them, getting chased by them, but also they get to learn something," said show manager Dustin Baker said. "We like to mix entertainment with education we have exhibit tour guides that give out tons of information, we have jeopardy station that they can learn trivia about the dinosaurs."

Visitors can interact with the dinosaurs and even ride a few of them, according to organizers.

Other activities include fossil excavation, a 'Dino Bounce,' face painting, crafts and more.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for military and seniors and $15 for children ages 2-12.

Jurassic Quest takes place from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
