More victims have been identified in the case of a Lakeland licensed mental health counselor accused of inappropriately touching several patients.

According to Lakeland police's Special Victims Unit, four more clients of Anthony Conti have been identified.

Conti was arrested in September at his Lakeland office.

Officers said Conti admitted to the touching when one of the women visited his office and was wired for sound.

Three of the four new cases all involved "messaging/touching therapy" by Conti and letting the victim believe that sexual contact by him was consistent with or part of the treatment.

The fourth victim, was similar in circumstances and in this case, Conti touched the victim’s genitals on two separate occasions. Conti's new charges are:

  • 3 counts of attempted psychotherapist engaging in sex with a client
  • 2 counts of psychotherapist engaging in sex with a client, a felony

The Lakeland Police Department believes there could be more potential victims. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to come forward and speak with a detective by calling (863) 834-8977.
