Tampa Police are investigating involving a woman found Thursday in a Tampa roadway with fatal head injuries.
Investigators said a black female, identified as Latoya D. Smith, 30, was found Thursday afternoon in the roadway in the 2100 block of W. Flora Street.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries, and later died.
Police described what happened as "not an accident but an intentional act."
No arrests have been made, but officials said TPD detectives are pursuing "promising leads."
