A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in St. Petersburg.

The incident occurred at about 8 p.m. in the 4500 block of Park Boulevard.
City police said the pedestrian was walking south across Park Boulevard from the north side near Taco Bell. The pedestrian walked in front of a 2003 Volvo and was hit.
The pedestrian, whose name hasn't been released, died at a local hospital.
Police said the driver won't face charges since the pedestrian violated the right-of-way of the Volvo.
Police are still investigating.
Eastbound lanes of Park Boulevard North were closed after the incident.
