The Hillsborough County School Board on Tuesday approved salary agreements for a large number of county school employees, including teachers and principals.
- Agreements approved during specially-called meeting
- Adjustments to salaries retroactive to July 1, 2016
- Salary raises to district level administrators deferred
Officials said the new salary agreements were agreed upon during a specially-called meeting of the school board. The adjustments to salaries affected by the agreements are retroactive to July 1, 2016.
Among the employees affected by the adjustments are:
- Teachers
- Educational Support Professional (ESP)
- Hillsborough School Employees Federation (HESF)
- School Principals
- Assistant Principals
- non-represented employees
Officials went on to say that school board payroll departments are working to ensure employees receive their new salaries in their December 9 paycheck. Affected employees should then receive retro pay on their December 23 paycheck.
District level administrators' salary raises will be deferred. Officials did not specify a date for that deferment.
The proposed agreement still requires ratification by the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association (HCTA), which represents teachers and ESPs.
