A teenage passenger was killed in a single-car crash in Plant City Saturday night.
According to Hillsborough County deputies, a 17-year-old driver we are not naming due to our Crime Guidelines was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban northbound on Cooper Road at a high rate of speed when he went off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree.
A passenger, also 17, died at the scene. The driver was flown to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Charges are pending, according to deputies.
