Police are investigating a Monday morning shooting that sent a man to a hospital.

The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. in the 8200 block of 36th Avenue North.

St. Petersburg Police said Joel Crossman, 44, and Kevin Fagan, 25, had an argument and that Crossman was shot. Crossman was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he had surgery but was in stable condition.

Police said Fagan fired the gun and was taken to St. Anthony's Hospital for evaluation.

Both men lived at the address.

The case is under investigation.
