Pasco Sheriff's deputies are investigating the apparent drowning death of a man suffering from Alzheimer's disease whose body was found floating in a Wesley Chapel pond Monday morning.

The body of Herman William Wolter, 87, was found in a pond near the home of his caretaker on Tremont Drive.

Pasco Sheriff’s deputies received the call that he was missing at about 3:17 a.m. Monday morning. Deputies found his body in the pond a short time later.

Deputies said Wolter recently moved to the area from Georgia. His caretaker said that he was complaining of wanting to go home.

Foul play is not suspected.
