A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Bradenton Monday night.

It happened at 26th Street West and 30th Avenue West around 8:20 p.m.

Jordan Lee Johnson, 31, was struck from behind while riding southbound on 26th Street West.

Troopers noted the area was not lit well and Johnson was wearing dark clothing and had no reflective gear on. He was cited for failing to have a rear bike light.

Johnson was taken to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries.

There is no description of the hit-and-run vehicle. If anyone has any information, they’re asked to call Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800.
