  • Mostly clear skies overnight
  • Sunrise could see a few showers near the Gulf
  • Highs Wednesdau will be in the upper 80s

At sunrise there will be a few showers start coming in from the Gulf. Rain chances will be higher the next couple days.

The main reason for that will be a push of moisture coming in from the Gulf as the first cold front of autumn season moves into the Southeastern U.S.

For tomorrow, expect scattered showers  to move from the Gulf inland and eastward during the day, with most of them ending up well inland by Wednesday evening.

Highs will be in the upper 80s.

Thursday will feature numerous scattered showers and storms coming in from the Gulf as the cold front gets closer to our area. Highs will againbe in the upper 80s.

Drier air with slightly lower humidity is expected for Friday

Tropical Update:

Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave about 350 miles east of Barbados continue to show signs of organization.

Buoy data indicate that the system is producing winds to near tropical storm force. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is in the system right now to see if it has developed a closed circulation. Conditions appear to be favorable for development, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is likely to form later today or tonight.

This system is moving westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph, and is expected to pass over the Windward Islands on Wednesday morning, and move over the southeastern Caribbean Sea late Wednesday and Thursday.
