Skies will be partly cloudy overnight into early Friday morning with some lingering scattered showers.

  • Cloudy overnight
  • Dry, cooler air in Citrus and Hernando counties Friday
  • Friday will be mostly cloudy

Morning lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

The advertised cold front is moving toward us but will stall out in northern counties.

What that means for our forecast is that drier air will cut down on the rain chance for Citrus and Hernando counties, but there will still be lingering scattered showers from Pasco County southward through Tampa Bay. Although the front will not move through it will at least push some drier air into our atmosphere above us. That means there will not be many thunderstorms, but rather just a lot of fast moving showers.

The high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday night will feature most of the showers winding down or moving off to the east with partly cloudy skies.

Lows will be in the upper 60s north and low to mid 70s south.

Saturday will start out perfect with slightly less humid, drier air in the morning. But the humidity will start coming right back as quickly as that afternoon.
By Saturday late afternoon to evening there will be some scattered storms coming back into the region.
