A 19-year-old woman from Spring Hill was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday night on Interstate 75.

The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 near MM272 in Hillsborough County around 6 p.m., according to FHP. 

FHP said a semi-truck traveling northbound on I-75 failed to stop for stopped traffic and collided into the back of a Saturn, causing a chain reaction with three other vehicles. 

The crash closed down northbound lanes on I-75 for several hours Thursday night. 

The driver of the Saturn, Nadia Anderson, 19, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. 

Only one person out of the other three vehicles involved in the crash received minor injuries. 

The driver of the semi, Pedro Martinez-Fernandez, 39, did not receive any injuries. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, charges are pending.
