Authorities in Pasco County are warning residents about scammers posing as tree trimming employees.
Earlier this month, a resident on Lake Iola Road in Darby told deputies she was approached by three men driving a black Kia SUV.
The men said they were from a company called "Green Thumb."
One of the men asked the victim to come outside and talk, while the other two men went inside and stole an item.
Authorities said similar incidents have been reported in Sarasota.
