Two drivers escaped with minor injuries after an Interstate 4 crash Thursday morning involving a Coca-Cola tractor trailer.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on I-4 just before Park Road at 5:06 a.m.

Troopers said the crash happened when a 16-year-old driver lost control of her 2012 Chevy Avalanche SUV while traveling westbound.

The SUV rotated and went across several lanes, collided with the semi, which then overturned onto its right side. The semi, which did not spill its contents, ended up blocking the left and center westbound lanes for several hours.

The 16-year-old driver and the 26-year-old driver of the semi were not seriously injured. The 7-year-old passenger in the SUV was not injured.

The teen driver was issued a ticket for careless driving.

The crash remains under investigation.
