Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on Willow Run in Lakeland around 1:20 p.m. Fire crews said heave smoke was visible and fire started to vent through the roof.

One adult and three children were able to make it out safely.

The adult who was inside the home when the fire started said she believes a lit candle in one of the bedrooms started the fire.
