St. Petersburg police officers have responded to a plane crash at Albert Whitted Airport.
Officials say preliminary information suggests a Cessna plane crashed in front of the airport tower while landing.
The crash occurred around 11:20 a.m.
The pilot, who officials said was the lone occupant of the plane, is okay.
No other information has been released at this time.
