If you've ever wished you could return to college and live on campus, a Central Florida college is doing just that.

But your room rate at one inn helps fund scholarships.

Life on campus never looked this good.

Tucked away on the northern end of Rollins College in Winter Park, you'll find a residence hall of an upgraded kind.

"Not too much ruckus from the students," said Jesse Martinez, The Alfond Inn's general manager.

The Alfond Inn is a hotel catering to parents, alumni, and adults looking for a weekend escape, all surrounded by art.

"(There’s) about $5 million worth of art through our hotel that our guests can enjoy," Martinez said.

This year's expected net income of $4.3 million will fund several scholarships at Rollins College.

"It's a full scholarship,” said Caleb Archulte, a freshman from Oregon. “Tuition, room, fees, board, so it's a generous chunk of change for sure."

Archulte lives in a dorm nearby.  He and other students directly benefit from the folks who stay here.

"This really gives me the opportunity to get far away from home and attend a school like Rollins," Archulte said.

Since the hotel enjoys a nearly 100 percent occupancy rate, chances are if you can't get a room, you can still enjoy the artwork during the free walking tour at 1 p.m. on Fridays.

Many of the paintings sport a QR code, allowing smart phone users to stroll as if the hotel was an art gallery.

"There may or may not have been a pillow fight at the hotel at some point," Archulte said.

The Alfond Inn has 112 rooms.
