Imagine a haunted house where nothing jumps out at you. Instead, you're exposed to deeper levels of fear at a much slower pace.

Introducing: "Catharsis."

Orlando's Pseudonym Productions created this walk-through experience influenced by the 7 Deadly Sins.

As you go inside the unmarked building on South Orange Avenue, you're prompted to sign the guest book. Next to your name, you're asked to write down the one sin that tempts you the most.

As you'll notice, "Lust" is mighty common.

"Lust is definitely a very popular sin," co-creator Ricky Brigante agreed. "Unlike most Halloween attractions, we do allow touch. So you will be touched."

"That's the one where we really draw you in," added Sarah Elger, the other creator, referring to the "Lust Room." That's where (spoiler alert!) you might end up lying down next to an unimaginably disturbed, yet - oddly sweet - individual.

The whole experience includes nearly 10 scenes. One of the most surprising elements happens after you make your way down the first ominous hallway. You're poured out into an honest-to-goodness bar (serving wine and beer!) with inviting aesthetics. (INSIDER'S TIP: Take a look at the horse. It comes from a Holy Land Experience auction). The lounge is where guests can soak in the musical score and discuss what they are about to get into.

"We have a 30-minute slow burn and unnerving experience that's sort of designed to make you uncomfortable, a bit chilled, and a bit weirded out," Brigante smiled.

Catharsis follows Pseudonym Productions' last experience, "When Shadows Fall." It enjoyed a 10-week run. Their next production has not yet been announced, but it will open in November.

Catharsis runs for 9 more nights through October 30. Catharsis is located in South Orlando, but you won't learn the real location until you reserve a spot.

Standard entry is $24. More ticket info is on the official website.
