One of the resorts at Walt Disney World is getting a makeover, the Disney Parks Blog has announced.
- New pool area, Boulder Ridge Cove, to open summer 2017
- 2 new restaurants add to dining options
- Villas renamed to Boulder Ridge Villas
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, located in the Magic Kingdom Resort area, will get new amenities.
The Hidden Springs Pool area has been re-imagined as Boulder Ridge Cove and will feature an expanded sun deck and a pool that looks like an abandoned rock quarry.
A water tower will be added as the pool area’s landmark.
The new area is expected to open summer 2017.
Other enhancements coming to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge include a new bar & grill, Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and a quick-service restaurant.
Also the villas at the resort have been renamed to Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Disney says the new name better reflects the theming and storyline at the resort.
