Disney is giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at its new holiday drone show, “Starbright Holidays.”

The new show features 300 drones that light up the sky over Disney Springs each night. The drones form various shapes such as Christmas trees and doves, synced to a mix of holiday music.

The floating lantern scene in the film “Tangled” was what inspired Disney Imagineers.

“As soon as we saw that, our R&D Imagineers were trying to understand and ideate how we could bring that iconic scene to life,” said Loyal Pyczynski, Walt Disney Imagineering.

“Starbright Holidays” is a collaboration between Disney and Intel, which created the Shooting Star drone fleet used in the show.

“Starbright Holidays” can be seen at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly above the waterfront at Disney Springs until Jan. 8.
