Starting Saturday, Universal Orlando will kick off its holiday celebration with the return of the Grinch and the Macy’s Holiday Parade.

The parade this year is so long, “we almost couldn't fit the whole parade into the parade route," said John Piper, the vice president of Macy's studio.

Universal held a special preview of the festive event Friday morning.

Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure transforms into a wintry wonderland for Grinchmas. Visitors can enjoy the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular show, a live retelling of the Dr. Seuss classic tale.

"It's a retelling of the classic tale, 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas.' It's a live musical, with singing, dancing. It's a beautiful blend of the movie and original cartoon," said Robyn Kelly, the show's director of creative development.

Guests can come face-to-face with the green one during a meet-and-greet. A special breakfast, The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast, will also be offered during the celebration.

At Universal Studios Florida, visitors can marvel at large balloons and decorative floats in the Macy’s Holiday Parade. The floats come directly from the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort runs Dec. 3 to Jan. 1, 2017.
