A 7-foot, 205-pound male bottlenose dolphin is being cared for at SeaWorld Orlando's Rehabilitation Center.

The dolphin was found stranded in Sanibel and was brought to SeaWorld on Wednesday. The animal rescue team has been providing the dolphin with fluids, antibiotics and is conducting a complete health assessment. 

SeaWorld veterinarians said the dolphin is a strong swimmer, which is a positive sign. The team remains optimistic and hopeful the animal will continue to improve. 

SeaWorld Orlando's Animal Rescue Team is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to save and care for injured, orphaned or ill animals.
