SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. on Tuesday announced a restructuring program that will impact approximately 320 positions across the company's 12-park enterprise.

  • SeaWorld layoffs to "impact" about 320 jobs
  • The layoffs impact both hourly and salary positions

The changes are "focused on reducing costs, increasing efficiencies, reducing duplication of functions and improving the company's operations through proven benchmarks," said to Susan Storey, director of communications for SeaWorld Orlando, in a statement. "These changes are being made to best position our company for long-term success, and so that we can continue to do great things for animals across the globe."

Storey said approximately 320 positions across the company will be impacted, including both hourly and salary positions. The changes include existing team members and vacation positions.

"We remain committed to a continued focus on the guest experience, the health and welfare of our animals, and the safety of our guests and team members," Storey said.
