You can now interact with The Blue Man Group more intimately than ever before.

A special VIP experience is now available for guests attending the show at Universal CityWalk. For the first time ever, the show is offering backstage access before and after the performance — plus some extra perks.
"Ooooh! We get to go into 'Staff Only' [door]," a smiling Melissa Loman said as she and her family began their VIP experience.
Snaking through dark hallways, the Lomans got to see what was going on in the theater an hour before show time. As their tour guide delivered fun facts about the sound stage (like, for instance, that Nickelodeon's "Super Sloppy Double Dare" was taped there), the VIPs were allowed on stage for some pictures.
"I love the draping in the back," Loman observed. "I don't think I've ever noticed that before."
The group also got to pound on the trio's funky instruments backstage. They even got to try on the band's fluorescent makeup. The tour guide brought out the iconic blue grease paint for VIPs to touch and smear on their arms. (Fun fact: The Blue Man Group members wear blue gloves specially formulated to match their painted heads.)
During the show, the VIPs sat in reserved seats and enjoyed complimentary soft drinks and popcorn. Afterward, they got their own private meet-and-greet backstage. Sometimes, one of the three "Men" will show up. Other times, you'll get them all.
"This guy never blinks!" laughed Mike Loman, referring to one of the always-in-character and wildly expressive stars of the show.
We watched as they put the paint from their heads onto the VIPs' faces. They awkwardly stared and did their version of high-fiving. Selfies were everywhere.

The Blue Man Group VIP Experience is available for all performances. Participating guests must check-in one-hour prior to show time and will be greeted by a tour guide.
