Valentine’s Day is Sunday – and if you haven’t gotten a reservation for a romantic date, you may be out of luck at this point.

So we asked our Facebook and Twitter followers in Orlando and Tampa what ideas they had for Valentine’s Day destinations that don’t require reservations.

Some suggest a film a little film nostalgia:

One suggested finding romance in the heavens:

A picnic was also popular:

Others suggest some hidden gem restaurants:

"Rodeo Diner. One in Kissimmee and one in St. Cloud. Ask for Dana." -- David Searcy, via Facebook

"Johnny Grits in Downtown New Port Richey Make your last minute Valentines Day reservations." -- Holly Morawski, via Facebook

But the consensus seems to be: skip the restaurant and chill at home.

"Chinese food and The Walking Dead...couldn't ask for a better V-Day...Hubby is happy...." -- Mary Dupee Boldt, via Facebook

"Shucks if the restaurants are booked or the weather is frightful out, I try to make sure that I have bought something special to cook for my honey or sometimes we go out a day before Valentine's Day. It's just as romantic we just don't have to worry about the crowds or the weather where we live." -- Rhonda Michelle, via Facebook

"Steaks and lobster on the grill light a candle." -- Hope Norwood, via Facebook

"Turn on the grill, have a great home cooked dinner.. Fire place going, music on, read our cards, share dessert.. Casual and so special..." -- Sandy Copley Riggs, via Facebook

"Home sweet home cooked meal with no MSG, no syrupy gravy, no this no that; just love loving!" -- Tessa Deprez, via Facebook

And don't forget: Valentine's Day is not just about romance, it's about love in all forms.

"An evening at home with all the special people in your life. It doesn't have to be a date night. Even the ones that are up in heaven. You can remember them by making a special dish they made. You can even put something there when setting your table. For example candlesticks. Start a new tradition." -- Laurie Guerrera, via Facebook
