Orlando area

Orlando Brew for a Cure

Sample handcrafted beers from microbrewers and taste offerings from top Orlando restaurants, all for a good cause. The World of Beer at Lake Eola is hosting the beer and food tasting event, which also features live music and auctions. Proceeds benefit the Central Florida chapter of  the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. When: 4 p.m. Cost: $50 and up.

Orlando Ghostbusters Movie Premier Party and Pulse Fundraiser

Hang out with the fan group Orlando Ghostbusters at Gods and Monsters on International Drive on Saturday to celebrate the release of the new Ghostbusters movie. Collectibles will be raffled off, and photo ops with props and gear will be offered — all proceeds will go to Pulse victims and survivors. When: Noon-5 p.m. Where: 5250 International Drive. Cost: Free.

Sanford Art Walk

This month's art walk through the streets of downtown Sanford will be anchored by the Historic Sanford Welcome Center’s juried photogrpahy show, “Aperture: Keep it in Focus.” Other venues along the walk showcase talent with and without the photography theme. Sanford's first pop-up restaurant, The Tennessee Truffle, will make its debut in the event and will stay on beyond its planned 30 days. When: 6-9 p.m. Saturday.

Tampa Bay area

21st Annual Tropical Fruit Tasting

Sample fresh exotic fruits, from jack fruit to longan to dragon fruit to lychees, at this educational, multicultural event. Also get expert growing tips and advice. When: Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Where: Jene's Tropicals, 6831 Central Ave., St. Pete. Cost: Free.

28th Annual Cool Art Show 2016

Looking to stay cool? Like jewelry, ceramics and mixed media? Come to the St. Petersburg Coliseum to browse wares from more than 70 artists and craftsmen. Hosted by the Professional Association of Visual Artists. When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Cost: Free.

Busch Gardens Pokemon Lure-A-Thon

Pokemon trainers: Bring your A game to Busch Gardens, where more than 50 lure modules and rare Pokemon will be activated throughout the park. Pass members will have access to seven exclusive PokeStops. When: Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (SeaWorld Orlando hosting similar event 11 a.m.-2 p.m.) Cost: Park admission required.
