A SpaceX launch early Monday morning is expected to carry 5,000 pounds of food, supplies, hardware and experiments to the International Space Station.

The launch window for the Falcon 9 rocket, which will lift off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, will open at 12:45 a.m.

It will carry the Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station. The Dragon will be loaded with thousands of pounds of cargo, including a 1,020-pound international docking adapter to accommodate Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner and the SpaceX crew Dragon spacecraft.

The launch is the ninth of 14 resupply missions by SpaceX for NASA.
