A surprise guest showed up to — some say crashed — the Florida delegate breakfast Tuesday.

Sen. Bernie Sanders was the latest official to cause a stir at the daily event at the Marriott hotel in Philadelphia.

Some said he crashed the breakfast like a rock star: He had his full security in tow.

Things started calm Tuesday, with many Florida delegates calling it the "morning-after" breakfast -- a day earlier, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz showed up and was met by boos.

She's been a lightning rod for anger since emails leaked by Wikileaks indicated top Democratic Party officials disparaged Sanders and favored Hillary Clinton for the presidential nomination.

“It’s a new day. There is no hangover,” Pinellas County delegate Larry Florani said at Tuesday's breakfast.

But then Sanders showed up. Continuing his efforts to try to quell his vociferous and angry supporters, he told delegates they need to back Clinton.

“We’ve got to elect Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States,” Sanders said.

But then there was the moment his supporters say spoke volumes.

“The political revolution has begun, and it will continue,” Sanders said.

After about five minutes at the podium, Sanders left as abruptly as he came.

He left some of his supporters in tears. Supporters say Sanders made stops to talk to delegates about party unity -- a message some say is still hard to stomach.

“He brings out the passion in us, and he makes us believe change is going to happen. We’re just disappointed in how unfair the democratic process was this election season,” Martin County delegate Dawn Abate said.
