RunDisney, the organization behind the Disney marathons and half-marathon weekends, has announced several new enhancements for the upcoming race season.

Starting with the 2016 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, all event guides will be digital.

Participants can access the guide from any device — computer, tablet and smartphone.  With the new enhancement, the event guides will provide the most up-to-date race weekend information, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

Another enhancement that runners will see involves the 5K races. For the first time ever, the finisher medals for those races will be metal, not plastic or rubber.

Disney released photos of three medals for upcoming 5K races. The medal for the Captain America 5K for the Super Heroes Half Marathon at Disney is a Captain America shield.

The runDisney races are very popular, especially in Central Florida. Race weekends at Disney World attract thousands of runners from across the world.

The next runDisney race for Walt Disney World is the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, which takes place from Nov. 3 to Nov. 6.
