Disney plans to open a new ride at Typhoon Lagoon in spring 2017 that it says will be one of the longest in ride time at any of its water parks.

Miss Fortune Falls will be a family-friendly raft attraction and will have a ride time of 2 minutes, the company said in a news release.

The theme of the ride will tell the story of Capt. Mary Oceaneer, a treasure-hunter who got stranded at Typhoon Lagoon after a storm. Guests will ride aboard a raft that will take them through a story of her past before entering whitewater rapids and seeing artifacts she collected.
Miss Fortune Falls will be located near the Crush ‘n’ Gusher water coaster at the 60-acre themed water park.
