Orlando Area

Blocktoberfest

This German-themed party at Wall Street Plaza in downtown Orlando starts at 6 p.m. Saturday. It features German drinks, food and music from The Jimmy and Eckhart German Oktoberfest Show. Admission is free.

Bacon & Brew Fest

The DeLand Bacon & Brew Fest features bacon-everything! From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, you will find bacon cupcakes, chocolate-covered bacon, bacon-stuffed pretzels and more. And don't forget the bacon-eating contest. The free festival is hosted by Kmarks Enterprises, and money will be raised for the DeLand Neighborhood Center. It is located at Earl Brown Park, 750 S. Alabama Ave., DeLand.

Port Orange Family Days

The festival features a carnival, food trucks, a car show and many other activities for the family. The festival is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Port Orange City Center, 1000 City Center Circle, Port Orange. Admission is free. A cost is associated with the rides.

Tampa Area

Bright House 2016 Clearwater SuperBoat National Championship

The Bright House 2016 Clearwater SuperBoat National Championship features some of the fastest and largest offshore power boats in the world. Race teams consist of two-person teams, as extreme speeds of up to 180 mph make it impossible for a single person to steer and operate the throttles. The event begins Friday and ends Sunday. Harvest Moon Corn Maze

This five-acre corn maze features twists and turns along with a petting farm and more. The maze is open starting at 10 a.m. through Nov. 6. at Harvest Moon Farm, 15990 Stur St., Masaryktown. Admission is $11.95 for adults; children 2 and younger are free. Call 1-800-373-4811 for more.

Pumpkin Palooza

The 13th annual family fall festival and pumpkin patch features kids games, crafts, inflatables, face and hair painting and more. This free event begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at Northside Baptist Church, 6000 38th Ave. N., St. Petersburg.

Tailgate Taste

The third annual Tampa BayTailgate Taste Fest is returning to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Taste delicious tailgate treats from a variety of local restaurants. Also includes live music, tailgate games and live showings of the day's best college football games.
