Pro Automotive may look like just another repair shop, but with the help of dozens of Donald Trump's most faithful supporters, it became inauguration party central in Orange County on Friday.

  • Pro Automotive hosted an inauguration viewing party
  • Owner Richard Fawcett set up a flat screen TV and Trump signs
  • Fawcett is already handing out Trump 2020 bumper stickers

“I’ve always been politically active but never anything like this," said Richard Fawcett, the owner of Pro Automotive on South Orange Avenue, near Edgewood.

Fawcett's auto repair shop became an unofficial Trump campaign headquarters, helping President Donald Trump win enough votes in Central Florida to get elected.

That's because Fawcett has been unknowingly, yet enthusiastically preparing for inauguration day for nearly two years, putting Trump's promotion over advertising for his own business.

"Thousands of dollars. Absolutely. We ended up giving, believe it or not, 17,000 bumper stickers away. I still can't...17,000," Fawcett said.

"I thought two or three (thousand bumper stickers) was big," Fawcett said.

The usually busy repair bays were cleared of all vehicles and replaced by a flat screen TV.  Trump signs were also on full display.

"It crushed my heart. I'm sitting over there, I wanted to cry 100 times. I had to keep proper decorum, I know you guys were filming. It's really overwhelming. I never thought it would take place like this. It's surreal," Fawcett said.

"It was a very empowering speech," began Frank Torres, a well-known political analyst in Central Florida.

Trump's position in the White House is now political reality, something more than half of voters, and even the most-experienced political analysts, didn't see coming.

"I think the unexpected candidacy of Donald Trump has sort of lead to a new involvement of people that really didn't have a lot of previous political experience and were not really engaged before his candidacy began," Torres said.

The long-time mechanic is humble but relishes what he considers his small, local role in Trump's national election.

"It needed to be done and I figured anyway I could help, I was willing to do so," Fawcett added.

Fawcett also handed out thousands of yard signs over the campaign season.

Fawcett and his friends are already giving out bumper stickers for the 2020 re-election of Donald Trump.
