A police chase that started in Hernando County ended at a Pine Hills apartment complex in Orange County early Wednesday, the Florida Highway Patrol stated.

It all started with a burglary in Hernando County around 2:45 a.m. A witness gave authorities a description of a blue BMW, which according to FHP was stolen from Brevard County.

The burglary happened at a Target store on 4401 Commercial Way in Spring Hill, stated Hernando County Sheriff's Office's Public Information officer Denise Moloney.

A trooper spotted the car speeding at 75 mph in a 45-mph zone and tried to do a traffic stop, but the car fled, going northbound on I-75. A sheriff's deputy spotted the car and tried to use stop sticks, but failed.

During another attempt to stop the car, the driver allegedly drove towards a deputy, but he managed to get out of the way, Lt. Mark Castleberry said.

The four suspects got back on I-75 and went on the Florida Turnpike southbound and then on State Road 408 East in Orange County, where it ended at the Windsor Apartment Complex in Pine Hills.

The four suspects got out and are on the run.

The only description given about the suspects is that they are black males, Castleberry said.

A stolen TV was found in the BMW, Castleberry said.
