It's almost time to 'nom nom nom' to the sounds of helmets smacking and whistles blowing.

Just as important as the Super Bowl is - the food.

We ventured to Teak Neighborhood Grill in Orlando for snack-time inspiration.

"(It's a) maple-bacon theme," said Chef Benedetto "B" Messina, referring to a table jam-packed with some of the restaurant's most popular dishes.

Chef B. chose five items, some of which have bacon and others with maple-bacon. As you'll see below, the burgers, fritters, chips and pierogies all have bacon, but maple-bacon will also work for each recipe.

"So basically, you would just cook your bacon like you would normally at home," he said. "Then just drizzle some maple syrup over the top of it and maybe crack some fresh ground pepper and put it back into your oven. Give it about 5-6 minutes and bring it out and let it sit and it'll begin to candy. And done. You can put it on all kinds of things."
