Universal guests found themselves in the dark Wednesday because of a blackout at CityWalk.
The blackout affected most of the CityWalk area and some of the hotels, including Royal Pacific Resort and Cabana Bay Resort. Traffic lights were out on at least one road on resort property as well.
Universal did not say how what caused the power outage. There was also a power outage in some of the nearby residential areas. However, OUC doesn't know what caused the outage either.
Pictures posted on social media show CityWalk in complete darkness on the side of the waterway opposite the park entrances. Several restaurants and the AMC movie theatre were affected.
The power has now been restored parkwide.
Last week a similar power outage happened at Epcot at Walt Disney World, stopping rides.
