A group is distributing Bibles inside Orange County high schools Wednesday.

Members of World Changers of Florida Inc. said they will place Bibles on tables during lunch periods for students to pick up.

According to attorney Diego "Woody" Rodriguez, the school district's general counsel, Woody Rodriguez, the organization is responsible for bringing, adding and removing the materials at the schools.

No students are allowed to be removed from the classroom.

"No one is to be encouraged or discouraged from attending the tables," Rodriguez said.

During an interview Tuesday, Rodriguez said he did not know how many schools the group would be at on Wednesday.

This is not the only request the school district has received.

"We have received one request already from an organization that is interested in distributing their own materials," he said.

Rodriguez said the school district will work with the group to fulfill their request. However, they are subject to the same guidelines and requirements as World Changers of Florida.

"We will follow the law, regardless of who the organization is," Rodriguez said.

The attorney said the school district has not received any comments nor complaints from parents.

World Changers of Florida is scheduled to distribute Bibles at Collier County high schools on Thursday.
